  • Adam Schueur, Watertiger: display, spoke on the international aspect of Watertiger Dan Richards, MPC Consulting Ltd: display & talk

  • Kerry Anne Sheehan, Pure UV: power point presentation on the crossfire UV technology

  • Jim Estabrook, Galiano, SWS Operator: spoke on the water situation on Galiano Island

  • Ed Hoeppner, Aquarian Systems Inc, & member of GHOSTS: addressed, grey water use & re-use and how a demonstration plot has been developed on Hornby Island

  • Bob Burgess, Rainwater Connection, rainwater collection systems: showed various installation methods and data supporting the value of rainwater collection systems.

  • Dr. Judith Isaac-Renton, Prof. of Microbiology& Pathology, UBC Center for Disease Control covered microbiology 101 in depth with an interesting presentation on waterborne diseases

  • Gary Gibson, VIHA Chief Health Inspector presented the CRD Septic Savvy program, c/w Q&A

  • Giles Wendling, BC Groundwater Association, spoke in depth on the complexities of aquifers, legislation & issues, c/w Q & A

  • Denny Ross-Smith, Nelson B.C, Executive Director, Small Water Users Association of BC, spoke on water district in the interior of BC, what they are facing and what the Association is trying to accomplish by working with government, followed by Q & A

  • Jenny MacLeod: Gabriola Groundwater Protection Society explained the well water testing program their Society is operating, at a nominal cost to the well owner as auxiliary to recognized laboratory testing when problems are indicated.

  • Mary Cooper, MIIWSS Vice Chair and Program Director, draw prizes, & update on MIIWSS activities & plans for 2006
