Warden's Report |
Happy New Year! Before we discuss the up coming AGM meeting, let’s begin this newsletter with some good news! Sunday (Church) School is set to begin February 26 and will continue through the Summer months. If you would like to volunteer with Sunday School, please see Emily Boldt. High on the Church agenda is our annual Church Fair which will be a week later this year – it will be Saturday, July 15th. And it goes without saying, that we will be asking for someone to take charge of the Silent Auction, not to mention the many other volunteers needed for the Children’s games etc. Everything at the Fair is important, from the Pub Lunch, to the Parish Pies to having a good time, however, the Silent Auction is responsible for about half of the Church Fair proceeds and, therefore, ranks very high financially with the ongoing mission of St Mary Magdalene. To everyone who has contributed with the on going success of the Church Fairs in the past, we need your capable assistance again this year. Please see Pat if you wish to volunteer.

Treasurer's Report |
The month of December reflected total receipts of $6,653 and total disbursements of $4995 for a positive net balance for December of $1,658. For the 12 months ending December 31st, total receipts were $62,073 and total disbursements were $63,952 for an excess of disbursements over receipts of $1,879. However, what has distorted the year-end picture is the disbursement of the Colombian family fund (received in 2004) which we sent to St Saviour’s in 2005. Adjusting for this leaves us with a positive year-end balance of $7,054.
