Emergency Social Services First Aid Course
On June 13th, twelve intrepid Mayne Islanders participated in an eight-hour
interactive ‘Emergency First Aid Course with A Level CPR’.
Emergency Social Services initially sponsored the course with the goal
of having qualified First Aid attendants available during an emergency/disaster
situation. However, individuals with this level of qualification can
only be an advantage to our community at ANY time.
Once again, our own amazing Lions Club recognized the benefit to our
community, and generously donated a substantial part of the funding
for the course. Many thanks to the participants, the Lions and ESS for
making this course such a success. Thanks to the ESS Area Coordinator
(Moira) for hosting the course debrief at the Springwater Lodge!!
