throughout the province and which provide all manner of municipal
services and functions.

Regional District (“CRD”).
Why Should We Continue to Exist?
Because we are the last element of “island-wide democracy”

What We Do

Provide governance and oversight to the Fire Department.
Prepare and pass Bylaws for our activities as well as for our
revenues and major capital expenditures.
Hold regular public meetings on the island.
What Dangers do we need to prepare for?
- Major Earthquake
- Wildfire
- Building fires
- Accidents
- Other
